I just bought a 67' Starcraft with a 4 cylinder Mercruiser. The Full Power Tilt seems to be the only problem. (So far) When i turn the key on the switch, and push the up switch, the solenoid clicks once and nothing happens. And when i push the down button is doesnt do anything. I am wondering if the switch is bad or the solenoid.

1967 Mercruiser Power Tilt Pump

I have a 1967 Starcraft with Mercruiser. Replaced tilt button, and was going to replace solenoid. But manula said to hook tilt pump up to battery to test pump. Nothing happened. So that tells me the pump is dead. I need to know what replacement options i have. I know it is one of those low-pressure systems, and so-far all i can find are pumps for alpha I and bravo. Nothing for me. Please help. I have found this, and it seems right, but not sure.

Still nothing. The link you supplied was great. It said to hook the pump right up to the battery to test pump, and it did nothing, which takes me to replacing the pump. I cannot find any direct replacement pumps this old (vintage). So i dont know which aftermarket replacements to use. I heard (read on forums) that this specific system is low pressure, so i dont want to waste time, money, and risk blowing anything out with a wrong type. I found this replacement, but not sure if it will work for me. Please help.
