Having trouble with finding the right fuel hoses for inside the cowl. There are 6 total fuel hoses inside the cowl of a 67 950 SS. I ordered new ones from Oldmercs and two were too short. The hoses between the three cards need to be 7.5 inches tip-to-tip, but I was sent ones that were only 6 inches tip-to-tip. The spec in the manual says they are 6-inch hoses. My guess is that spec does not include the fittings. these were aftermarket hoses so I bet someone built them 6 inches tip-to-tip without knowing better. ??
Anyone have any luck with building their own fuel lines with 1/8 barbed fittings, clamps and new hose? Pros and cons to doing it this way?
The other hose sent was the correct length, but had an adapter fitting on one end instead of the needed 1/8 NPT fitting.
