I have a MW 6hp deluxe. Model number: VWB52106A. I found it in a scrap bin at a junkyard and paid $20 for it. I got it running really good and am on the hunt for parts, I've found everything except the engine cover/ cowl. Does anyone have a cover that will fit this or do they know what will fit? It doesn't have to be specific as I'll just debadge it and fill the holes in with epoxy.

I have been with no luck. Is the deluxe model significantly different from other models? I mean if the cover is from a larger or smaller output engine I'm fine with that, I just want something to go over it. Does anyone know what other models used the same cowl? Specific info is obviously pretty hard to come by and not many people in my area bought these little engines. If I have to I'll make one out of cardboard and fiber glass and then I'll have someone gel coat it.

I located a guy here in my area that has a bunch of older outboards. He's 62 and collected all kinds from evinrude to neptune 15b2's. I'm hoping that he has a cowl that will work. The last issue with this engine is the pull start. If he has parts I'll probably just get what I need from him. The rope pulley assembly is $60 and one of the measurements don't match mine! :(

How about a picture of this motor.

I recently saw an old MW motor, I swear the "cowl" was the gas tank.

Here's the only current pic of the engine I have, it's from the day I got it. I'll take more when I get off work today and post them later
