I have two little holes one right next too one of the bolts that hold the lower unit on and the other is right next to the water intake on the bottom side of the fin plate . They are about the size of 16gauge wire. I noticed that they are leaking lower unit fluid. Its coming out as a foamy creamish color and oozes out for about a half hour after the motor has ran. Any ideas what might cause this or how to fix it ?

These are drain holes for the exhaust tube. What's leaking out is fuel which has oil in it. Your motor dumps unburnt fuel down the exhaust and this accumulates on the inside of the exhaust tube and runs out while after use. There's another hole down lower to the gear case as shown in the photos. Don't plug these holes, they provide a function.

If the oil leaking was black and gungy I would agree with Evinrude Boater. It would be partly burnt oil from the fuel and perfectly normal.

However you describe it as "creamy" . That sounds more like a mix of water and gear oil which could be the result of leaking seals on the gear case.

Check the condition of the oil in your gear case. If it is not clear and bright then there's water getting in and you need new seals.

Also read the item in the engine FAQs about "Oil leaking around the lower unit" SEE HERE

Fuel, oil and water all emusified together = creamy foamy gook running out the drain holes.

But to be on the safe side you should check your lower unit oil anyway....that is just plain good maintenance.
