1967 Starcraft Bajama: What is that button and light by the starter switch?

It would be GREAT if I could find an owner's manual for this boat, but any search I do ANYWHERE comes up zero for this boat. It's as if they were never made, yet I now own one....

On the "dash", there's a key switch, a choke toggle, a big, un-identified push-button switch, and a light that says "ON". There is no reliable wiring to use as a clue.

Q: What is the button supposed to be for? What does the "ON" light signify as being "on"?

Thanks for any help-

What's a Starcraft Bajama? A new model to me.

Push button switch is probably for the horn or maybe a bilge pump and the "ON" light is probably for showing the bilge pump is on. Many Starcrafts of that vintage didn't have horns or bilge pumps, so you may have some PO add-ons. Also you have to have a Nav light switch.

Got any dash pics?

I'll have to post a pic, good idea. The button and light are definitely factory.

The Bajama is in the 1967 brochure, and it's stamped on the VIN plate of the boat. I'm sure there is no bilge pump on this boat. My guess is a horn button, although the "on" baffles me. I just want to know if I can ignore them for the purpose of re-wiring the switch to see if the motor starts.

Push the button and listen for a response. Otherwise follow the wires.

No wiring to trace, I'm starting from the starter switch, and my biggest frustration is not being able to find a wiring diagram for the boat. Lot's of them for the motor.

Yes, it's a Bahama, not a Bajama. Maybe that's why I can't find any info!

Ok -- if the switch and light are not wired, what accessories are installed that Don't work. Still a visual check. It may be the prior owner intended to install something and never got around to finishing the project.
