1968 5hp Johnson

I aquired this motor for my jonboat and need a hood for it, does anyone know where I might have a chance finding a hood for it. I have looked for one on ebay but no luck and the dealer says it is discontinued. If there is a model or a diferant year that will fit it I think that would work?? Thanks for your help.

Hi Alan,<br /> The 5hp was only built a few years (1965-1968), but it shares some parts with the 6hp. A 6hp hood might fit from the same vintage - just make sure whether you need one with the latch in the hood or the belly pan. If the bottom contour of the hood is the same, you can use some Johnson hoods, too...<br />- Scott
