on some of them there was a bolt in the rear that you can only get to after you remover the rear exhaust housing cover.

Remove the trim tab. There's a bolt under there and one more just forward of the tab.

Be sure to connect a heavy string or wire to the shift electrical harness before dropping the lower unit. This will help you during reassembly to get the harness back up through the motor.

Worked like a charm... i replaced the water pump impeller put everything back together, got the water-muff's out and fired it up, i had a stream of water shooting out of the front of the leg where the lower half meets the middle section is that supposed to happen?

also on the 2 water ports on the back i only really had water comming out of the right one???

just wondering if this is normal or i should take the leg apart again and silicone a few things???

Thanks
- Jimmy

sounds about normal, the water pump drain will squirt water and the water from the idle relief on the flusher may indicate the t-stat or pressure control is missing from the head.
