1968 Evinrude 5HP Angler will start after a few pulls and run anywhere between 2 and 10 minutes then shut off.

My fuel mix is 50:1
I have a fairly new unused 6 gallon tank.
The fuel line and bulb have never been used until now.
I replaced the engine-female end connector because it was leaking a little but does not now. Sometimes it will run for roughly 2 minutes then shut off
If I keep squeezing the bulb every few seconds it will run for about 10 minutes but still shuts off.

Did you replace water pump impeller ?----Did you inspect fuel pump diaphragm?-----Did you clean the carburetor ?------Did you replace head gasket ?

I have not done any of that as I just bought a few days ago but that will be where I start! Thank you!

if you hand pump to keep the carb full the fuel pump needs a close look at or replacement...

did you at least unscrew the pump cover and check if the screen #15 is clean ??
