Recently purchased this motor and have ran it several times for a couple of hours on the Erie Canal. 5 MPH no wake section so throttled just above idle. Runs great but notices milky oil running down exhaust cover weep holes when I get back to the dock. Was told this is normal when operating motor at idle speed for an extended time. Was also told I probably have a leaky seal/gasket at the water pump area. Any thoughts? Gearcase oil was changed and does not appear to be leaking anywhere or getting milky. Thanks in advance to anyone who still has some knowledge on these motors. RDSL-30-C is the model.

The t.stat may be stuck open (running cool). Check the head temp with an IR gun. Try adjusting the air/fuel mix slightly leaner. Try using synthetic 2-cycle oil -- 50:1 is OK.

sounds like no major issues.
