1968 johnson 55hp need starter

can anyone tell me where I might find a starter for my 68 55hp johnson. oem part#382306. every where I have looked says its obsolete. I can find one for a 69 it looks similar would this starter work?

its a tr10-r
the starter is a 12 tooth
Thanks for the websites unfortunatly neither of them have the starter I'm looking for.

Have you tried your local alternator/starter repair shops? They probably can repair your starter for less than you can buy one if you could find one. Our local shop repairs any type of starter.

You could try a salvage yard; there is a permanent post in here (called a "sticky") that has a list of these, but I can't find it now.

Maybe one of the Gurus knows where it is.
