1968 johnson 6hp

i have a 68 johnson 6hp starts fine runs through the power band in neutral, but when i put it in gear it bogs down very badly(prop rotates easily when in gear)
any ideals

1st i hope you have the leg submerge atleast 1/2 way up when running. what you compression, and have you check spark. they will run on one cylinder.. if all this is good. it's time for a through carb cleans, including the high speed jets. reassembly with a new carb kit. here are the adjustments for afterwards:
