Hello,
i am searching for a new high speed nozzle for my Johnson 1968 JH-23M with part number 312971.

While cleaning and disassembling the carburetor, it was hard to unscrew and i damaged the screw head
but managed to get it out with pliers.

I've searched every online shop i know, but nobody seems to have this part in stock.
If i could, i would reuse the damaged part, but i don't know if that is possible.

Do you have any advices on how to get this part or what to do
There's a picture of the nozzle in the attachment.

Thanks in advance
Ludwig

Hallo ludewig. Welkommen in iboats. Try ebay.com, or place a WTB ad on aomci.org. You may also want to try marineengine.com as well as some of the salvage yards listed in the Top Secret file at the top of the forum thread. Here are some handy links for your motor.

Hi,
thanks for your nice reply. I tried every shop in the salvage yards list, but just one could provide me with the nozzle.
Seems these parts are pretty rare if you do not want to buy a complete carburetor assembly.
Hope this part is arriving soon in Germany :D

They usually get damaged from using the improper tool. There is a special tool to remove it. Soaking it in penetrating oil before hand helps too.
