I am trying to hook up the tack in my boat, my problem is that the old style merc control doesn't have the tack hook up so I just want to splice into the wires in side control box off key switch.Problem is ,was told this is a 1968 model but my book shows motors with 2 coils is 1965-66. 67-69 models have tach hook up and show 3 wires black ,brown, and white and my tach only has 2 wires,this old girl has some obsolite parts and don't want to burn anything up just trying to hook up a tach. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Bryan
