Would anyone know if overhauled or new replacements for this leg still available?

Highly unlikely considering the manuals and parts are mostly NLA.
IF you have your heart set on restoring it AND IF the hull, engine bed, stringers and transom are still solid look for a much newer late model for a good motor and good drive and install that into the hull

Engine is still solid and still compression tested well and boat hull, engine mounts stringers and transom are all very good shape. Boat only has roughly 600 hours on it but i suspect little rinsing was done on leg. Would a later model alpha 1 leg still bolt up to the transom without redrilling?

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,...... A couple of the holes might line up, but the others will need to be drilled out,.....

You want to swap the entire driveline so the motor will fit the newer transom assembly,.....
