Hello!! I have access to my grandfathers MFG Edinboro, thinking about buying it and repairing the transom. He has two new Merc motors... a 75 and 8HP installed with all new controls. Got to be worth fixen it look great!! Check out the cracks... Local fiberglass repair shop said about $2000 but they also said something about cutting the hind end off. WOW!! Never heard of that but thought you guys would be the best to go about.

And check out the seats... I still get to work at the MFG plants from time to time. IT is amazing what they can do. Wish they would sell be a back end...

Welcome to iBoats!
It is possible to re-do a transom by cutting it from the rear but... Not the way I would recommend doing it. Most of the guys on here do it by removing the top cap of the boat or cutting the splashwell to gain access to the transom. MFG's are great boats and IMHO well worth the time, effort and money to restore. Lots of help here on the forum.

I found out my grandfather replaced the transom five years ago. So does this mean the "Cracks" are just the finish? When I stand on the motor prop (I weigh 250lbs...) nothing moves...or very little.
