1969 Evinrude 25 clear lines

I'm working on this motor, I have a clear line that's been cut on the left side of the powerhead at the very bottom (not a bypass cover) and a smaller clear line that's been cut at the front of the powerhead right under the flywheel. I'm thinking it's a recirculation line, gas comes out of the bottom line, nothing out the top one. Question- does the bottom line connect back to the fitting under the flywheel at the front of the powerhead?

The parts breakdown does show a "oil line hose" in the parts breakdown.
I don't have a manual in front of me at the moment, but if I remember correctly there was a line to pump oil/gas to the upper bearing.

That's what I was thinking, trouble is the bottom line and the top were 2 different sizes, I'll just replace the entire line.

I have niether of my 22cu. inchers here, but I think that the lower fits to the nipple on the upper exhaust cover and the upper one goes where there is a fitting/nipple.

You are right, they are 2 different inner dia.s on the same hose. Makes it challenging to get them hooked up. The route I went used 2 different dia hoses and small, black zip ties.

Ok so I looked it up, they want $12.00 for a rubber tube. If I plug it off, bad idea or should I tell the owner to replace it?

I would replace it, it should be there.

Called the dealer, part is NLA. Does anyone know the size of the tube on each end?

Don't know the hose size but I bet you could find a brass or nylon barbed hose fitting to reduce down a size
