1969 Evinrude 55hp wont fire

Being new to boat motors I know enough to sound dumb on the board! I was just given a boat and this motor and it won't fire. It ran last year just fine and now nothing. We are not getting a spark. We replaced the coil and it has no powerpak on it. Am I down to just the stator and points? <br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Doug

If it has sat up for sometime I would check the points for correct gap and no rust or corrosion.....Heath
