1969 Johnson

I have a 1969 55 hp Johnson,I was wondering if someone knew what the two brass tubes are for,one on each side of the motor at the bottom in the front of the motor.They look like drain tubes,and look like a quarter inch hose goes on them.

If one is below and just to the right of the lower carb (as your looking at the front of the engine) that is the carb cover drain. The carb cover should have a nipple at the bottom of it. A piece of hose goes from the cover nipple to the brass tube on the intake cover.<br /><br />Not sure about the other one.....can you direct us in just the same way?

Thanks OBJ....My bad There is only one.Many thanks.<br /> By the way..I heve hydro-electric shift,How much play should there be in the prop movment.My engine has about 1/3 turn before in grabs the gears.
