1969 starflite 85 hp electric shift problems and trim problems

I have a 85 hp it is stuck in forward gear I know a little about this motor and how the solinoids work jut wondering what to expect when I take the lower unit off it seem to shift fine when the motor is trimmed half way up also when my trim is up and i give it some thottle the motor goes to the bottom position I would like to put new oil in trim motor but were does it go and what kind any help with these questions would help me alot<br /><br />thanks bruce

Bruce bubba,<br />If you have any plans at all of doing ANY work on that engine, be gittin' yo'self a shop manual. It's worth every schekel you pay for it and they have them right here at iboats.
