1970/1972 merc distributor 650/800hp

Will the distributor off of a 1970 650 inline 4 fit my 1972 800 inline 4 they both have the same switchbox trigger style just dont know if the 70's distributor works for my 72 style carb throttle pickup.

Nope you will need to swap the collars...

Thanks,I was kinda wondering about that.So the collars are interchangeable and that should do the trick.
