Hello all,
We have a 1970 Classic Sea Craft. We are replacing the metal fuel tank as it was leaking badly. This tank mounts under the seat molded into the front of the console and is completely covered by the console. There are metal straps that secure the tank to the deck and a remote fill and vent. We have been struggling to find a pre-made tank that will fit in the allotted space.
The tank that we found here on iboats is the perfect size and would work perfectly. However, it is listed as "below deck".

What is the difference between a below deck tank and an above deck tank? This tank will be completely covered and there is a filler neck and a vent already in place on the boat to go to the tank. No sunlight will ever be allowed to reach the tank, due to its location.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated as we are ready to go with this boat other than the fuel tank. Thank you for the help. Forrest
