1970 20 hp seahorse broken gearshift

Trading my 68 sears 4 hp for a 20 hp seahorse that has a broken gearshift. Just wondering if this will be able to be fixed and are parts available? Are these motors reliable? I think its a good deal the work will be done by myself.

They're very reliable with good ignition systems and new water pump impellers. Laingsoutboards.com is a good place to look for a shifter handle. PM me if you can't find one anywhere. There's a list of used parts places at the top of this forum in the "top secret file", I believe.
