1970 Chrysler Valiant floor, transom replace

Hi everyone! Just reading about floor replacement and lots of talk about removing foam and adding stringers to this type of boat. No discussion about adhering plywood to existing foam?
Has anyone done this ? What products and what results?

Strongly suggest removing all foam, then pour new once deck is tabbed in
