I was wondering if anyone had a better wire diagram than the one that is in the repair manual for both the motor terminal block and the key ignition.

Also, I was wondering if the safety ignition switch that was removed should be replaced or if jumping the power pack is a safe method, or will it burn it up?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

Which repair manual? The safety switch prevents you from activating the starter if the throttle is advanced too far too safely start the engine. It has nothing to do with the power pack. I would advise against jumping the power pack until you are absolutely sure about what you are doing. If you are able to turn the engine over with the starter, the safety switch has already been bypassed.

Your engine has push button shift control and terminal bar which appear similar to my 1971 Evi 50hp. I have a factory manual.

Why don't you describe in detail what the problem is, with some history, and we will try to help you.
