1970 gearcase reseal

I'm installing a reseal kit in my 1979 25 hp evinrude. in my service book it refers to using perfect seal #4 and sealer1000. I don't have either, what can I use that I can buy at parts store? THANKS FOR ANY HELP. John

Marprox Sealer 1000 had been replaced by OMC Adhesive which has been replaced by Bombardier 3M Product #847. This can be purchased at your dealership, most marine type stores etc.

I never used Perfect Seal myself. On gaskets, I found that regular Gasket Sealer, the type that comes in a can that has a small brush attached to its screw off cap, works best and can be purchased at any automotive parts type store.
