HI folks.

I'm looking for a carb rebuild kit for my Johnson 9.5, I believe I determined it to be a 1970 from prior posts here but when I look up a 1970 9.5 all I see is a 9hp listed?

Can anyone point me to a rebuild kit? Any tips?

Thanks very much,

Your OMC dealer should have the kit. Or after markets places. It should not be a problem to get.

Part of my problem is determining the model since the plate is long gone. The only number I can find is on a round disc plate just below the cylinder head pointing up, it reads J3402620, which I can't seem to find info on.

There is a blank plate on the transom bracket.

That looks like a serial number, check with your local dealer and see if he can help you out on the year.

They keep the kit rather hidden for those 9.5's. No aftermarket available.

The BRP part # is 0382048. Dealer cost $17.37 includes float. Probably available for ~$20.
