Bought this 5 years ago. Used it as an electric boat in our local electric only reservoir for trolling and kid swimming in the summer. Was told by a local mechanic the motor wasn't worth saving. He was wrong. I decided to dig into the motor a few weeks ago and found it needed a new spark amplifier a new battery, a lower unit flush and some new misc linkage pieces (due to plastic degradation). I tested compression in each of the 3 cylinders and discovered compression at 145/150/145 respectively. The old Seaswirl is no longer relegated to 5mph minn kota power. This weekend we spent some time removing 50 years of oxidation. Making good progress.
