I'm getting around to putting this back together and its been so long kinda forget what came out of where, Its a 1971 E-rude 18 SS. bottom of photo is what came out, top of photo is what needs to go in where? I bought the kit shown I think maybe it came with extra's ? like the white nylon washers they came kinda stuck to the smaller bushings but I don't think they go in my L/U there seems to be 2 bushings for the prop shaft & 2 for the drive shaft? I might have destroyed them when I removed them as I stated it was a while ago. I know the small thick o-ring goes under the shift rod bushing, the fatter large o-ring goes around the prop shaft bearing hub, are there 2 seals for the drive shaft one facing up & one down? any ideas on any of the flat washers there are 2 black & 2 white also the very tiny o-ring. thanks

White washers are for your vent/drain screws.... 2 seals for the drive shaft back to back... you're right about the fat O-ring on the shiftshaft... one of those metal seals are for your prop shaft, I think the one with the white washer leaning on it. The small O-ring should be for the top end of your drive shaft to stop water intrusion form the powerhead I think...

Make sure your spaghetti seal is tucked to the out-most edge of your housing all around, use some sealant to achieve this. And DON'T let the ends of it become pinched when you assemble or it's all for nothing. The angle of which you trim the ends will help you with this...

I'm sure someone else will be able to confirm the rest, or correct me if I'm wrong lol.

just to add...the tiniest oring is for the pivot pin...next size up goes in the upper drive shaft groove right below the splines

Hi kodi. Here are some handy links. You'll need a tube of 3M 847 or Permatex Ultra Black for the job as well. You'll want to apply it on the perimeter of each oil seal as well as along the entire length of the spaghetti seal as well.
