1971 35 hp manual tilt mechanism

Hi all,
I have a 355HC outboard and was wondering if anyone else has the manual tilt so I could get a few pictures of how it works, the engage/release handle will turn but there is no mechanical connection to the lock plate.

If someone has pictures from the underside it would be greatly appreciated so I could figure out what i am missing on mine.
