1971 Evinrude Ski Twin 40hp Prop Slip

If I put the hub of the prop in a vice the prop itself spins on it. Is this normal? It had 3 screws that look like they were put in to lock it on but there sheered off.

Also I use this for fishing on my 15' 1971 MFG and it has a 10.5/12 should I go something bigger or with more or less pitch?

Sounds like the hub was doctored. Motor came with a 13; the 12 would allow a little more rpm and load ability. Without your present rpm and speed I would stick with the 12 and try to get us the max rpm and speed with the new prop.
