I have an exhaust leak coming through the hole where the shift wires exit the lower unit and enter the upper unit.
I know the shift wires have a ribbed rubber covering that should be greased and should be seal the opening off.
These have been spliced a few times by the PO and I'm afraid to pull on them.
Should I try to fill this area with grease or something to seal this off, as you now this is hard to get to.
Thanks,
Jim
