Motor started acting up this spring. Hard starting so I rplcd brushes and that was fixed. No water output, rplcd impeller. Seems to be working ok. Motor will start when cold but within 10 minutes it kills. Once this happens the motor is very difficult to start. Have rplcd coils and power pack last year. Engine still fires when this happens. I rebuilt the carbs recently. The only thing that I have not yet checked is the timing to throttle alignment. Could this cause the problem. When the motor is hot and I attempt to start it I can get it to run if I manually work the throttle linkage at the carb but it is very difficult to maintain any idle. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You might try this...there should be 2 purple wires running to your choke solenoid...remove one of them..its possible that the choke is staying on.

TMD

hazedy....check your primer bulb. Sounds to me like ya' ain't gittin the gas. Squeeze it up snug and start the engine. If it starts to crap out, squeeze the primer bulb and see if she keeps runnin'.
