1971 Ski Twin 40 hp Problems

I recently purchase a 1971 Ski Twin 40 hp, model 40152B outboard. Took it out yesterday for first time and seemed to run fine. Today it was running sluggish and when I got to 3/4 throttle it acted like it was suddenly put in neutral (which it wasnt) and started over revving. Got it home and found what appears to be tarnished oil in one of the spark plugs and gas running out the bottom of the motor. Where do I start?

sounds like a bad clutch dog, and a cylinder not firing, could be coil failing.
