Hello,
This is my first post on a boat forum. I am so excited, I have got my granfathers fishing boat! I grew up in this boat in Minnisota and I have just got it to Idaho. The boat is in great condition and it runs really well.

It has a 70hp motor with a 13 1\4" x 17" prop. Is that an ok setup for this boat? I have three small children and we will use it to pull a tube sometimes or just use it to go out and cruise around. And of course, do some fishing!

It seems to run at around 28mph. Does that seem right?

Great looking boat, really cool when you can keep the memories going in the same boat with your kids as you did with Grandpa. My new project I have is a 18ft Holiday that has a 70hp on it and the PO told me thats the same speed he was getting out of it, but cant confirm that.

Welcome, great looking boat.

Question. Below the Starcraft logo is the number 9. Do you know why? My boat had a number there and I have seen others marked similarly. I assumed mine was part of a fleet at a boat rental place.

Very nice boat. Neat as a pin. Where in the great state of Idaho do you live. My BIL is supertendent of all hatcherys for the Game Dept. Have relatives all over the state. Used to work for the UP railroad in Nampa in the 60s.

It's hard enough to find a boat to retore and you have one in excellant condition, can't stop drooling. Nice boat and I am sure the kiddies will enjoy the experiences your going to have. Welcome. Dale

Really nice boat. I like the interior layout. 28 sounds slow to me as I'm hitting 41 with my 90HP.

I had a 16' SS with a 70 evinrude and it would hit 32 so with a 18' I think it sounds about right.

Very nice boat. I have a 1989 Offshore with a 115 hp evinrude with a 15 hp Johnson kicker and it Rocks. You are going to have alot of fun on your boat.
