1972 18 horsepower Lower unit

I have this engine and it runs, haven't used it though in about 10 years. Should I change anything else besides the lower unit seals? Is that a pretty straight foward job? I watched a video it seems like something I can do. Also points and condesor? If It it works don't fix it philosophy?

Gears are shafts are expensive.----If seals are original it is time for a seal kit.----Do not forget the o-ring on the shift rod.----And if ignition coils are original ( often cracked now ) they should be replaced too.
