went to change the impeller on my electric shift and messed up the wire harness down to the shift solenoid's. I tried to separate them and put it back together but I lost neutral that way. went from forward with the forward button then hit the neutral button and it went to reverse. I know it was working right before I took it apart. I hooked up the ohm meeter to both leads and it is ringing out like there connected. has anyone ever just wired in there own harness for example, splice it under the shift solenoid's. cap and make it long enough to go up the housing and hook it up at the top?

To answer my own question. Yes you can. Spliced in under the cap and works as is supposed too. If it lasts then that saves bucks. Took it out and ran it and everything shifted fine. Just fell off on rpm after i nailed it.
