Had carbs rebuilt professionally. Takes long time to start. Good compression. But it takes very long time to start. Is there any tricks we can try at dock to start the cold engine? Once it's running it goes GREAT... Is there a spray or something we can spray somewhere trying to start it? If so, where do you spray it and what is the spray?

I realize its an old engine, but its mechanically sound and runs great when it FINALLY starts... Ugh

When did you have the carbs rebuilt? This year, last year, longer? Does the choke work correctly? Primer bulb pumped up? Condition of fuel filter? Hot spark, correct ignition timing? Just a couple of many possibles.

As far as spray, any clean spray bottle, and fill it with the same properly mixed fuel that you put in the tank. DO NOT use starting fluid or ether sprays on a two-stroke.

Hope this helps :encouragement:
