1972 85hp coil question

I just purchased a bought with this motor. It has a blown factory original coil. Whats interesting to me is that the coil is actually cracked! Is this common for the motorola coil or is this a indication that something catastrophic happened to the powerpack? Anything else I should be concerned about? As far as I know this is the only thing wrong with my boat.
Can anyone tell me if this is a 2stroke or 4? What is the proper oil mix?
What fuel consumption should I expect? Mainly we'll be fishing.
Should I purchase a Hydrofoil for it? If so which one? The boat doesn't have electric trim.

I can anwser a couple of your questions.,It is a 2 stroke,and the mix ratio should be on a sticker above your tank fill,usually 50:1 ( a pint to 6 gallons)
