1972? Chrysler 707HE

Hey all - I am brand new hear. I have a new-to-me 1972 (I think) Chrysler boat motor. It runs and then stalls and then runs again only to stall again. Finally, it stopped altogether. My boat mechanic/friend said it is a bad Amplifier/Power Box. Does anyone know where I can locate a replacement? Part number? any information would be greatly appreciated. The serial number on the motor is 2000 and the model is a 707HE.

Hi Jim, welcome to iboats.

I’m not questioning your friends ability to diagnose the problem but just trying to get some background on how he worked it out.

Has he done a compression test and a test on the spark on this motor?

Several things can cause a motor to stop and I would like to know what has been tested before you start spending money on replacement parts.
