Greetings

Im getting a little more knowledge and now I think im asking the right question in the right forum. I have a 1972 16.5' trihull Stinger, with a chrysler 4 banger and a merc sterndrive.(prealpha i have been told) First time boat owner, so I like the thought of a simple 4 cylinder. I have had the boat run only twice, motor was sound. Any suggestions on service for it? I need info from oil change, where is the plug/filter/anything to watch out for. Any info on tune ups, belts, timing, lube would be great. I guess im looking for some who has or had the same motor. Im also looking for a cheap solution to feed the intake with water to start it on land? I would also like to know boat size/hull shape/motor size of my boat, does anyone know the HP im pushing. Also, how many HP do you need to pull skiers in a trihull? I would love a manual also if anyone has one lying around. I am in San Jose, if anyone wants to earn a couple of extra bucks and is local, I wuld love to pay someone to teach me the inns and outs of this boat.

Any advice is oh so nice

Thank you

I need a pdf version of or a free copy of 64-91 mercruiser stern drive repair manual, or do I need Service and Parts Manual_Chrysler_Outboard, 1972, 120 HP , Model. I think it is an I/O so I don't think the chrysler is the right one,

Never mind I just caught on.
Chrysler Stinger boat mercruiser powered.
You need the merc manual.
Chrysler used the term "stinger" for a few of their outboard motors back then also.:D

Mercruiser Manual will work on that outfit.
Go to the local boat dealer in your area and ask to talk to a mechanic and then ask him the service ????. You can probably get some help there.Jerry
