Ok, Here's the story. Buddy of mine bought a Thundercraft with a 125 Evinrude.
We start her up with the muffs and notice that aside from the water pump working
properly and pumping water from where it should be coming out. Water is spraying
out the sides of where the foot is bolted to the exhaust housing along the seam
of where the two halves join. We dropped the foot to see if there was a noticeable
problem and didn't see anything wrong. Has anyone ever seen this before.

The parting line between the midsection and lower unit isn't sealed. Perfectly normal.

There is a seal there that is intended to direct the exhaust and spent water out the prop. What did the lower exhaust seal look like: 314937. Possible it is misaligned, has deteriorated, or could be missing. If so, you can leak some exhaust and water at that mating joint. While not a major problem, that hot exhaust can wind up affecting the plastic impeller housing over time.
