The rule at one time was -----Without thermostat J6J ( J6C ) and with thermostat J4J ( J4C )----So I would use a J4C.-----And check thermostat as they are often missing or stuck open.----Checked one the other day that did not open in boiling water.----If you just bought this motor install a new impeller.
