Welcome to iboats young man!

If you use the search function on this forum to look for pulling a flywheel, you should get a lot of threads. Also check out your local library for a outboard motor manual/repair and you will be a mechanic in no time.

Thanks for the help. I went out to the library and who would have guessed that the library had books to actually help me. The only thing i cant understand is will my timeing be messed up, like is there a certain way to make sure its not messed up when i put the flywheel back on?

When the flywheel is put on with the key in place, the timing is correct. That's what the key is for; to make sure the flywheel is correctly aligned for proper timing. Make sure the flywheel is torqued down to the proper value in ft-lbs (listed in the manual) and that the crankshaft taper and flywheel bore are clean and dry (no oil).

Here is a link at ebay for a factory repair manual listed on ebay. These manuals are what you need to do about anything with your motor. This is a used manual, and the price is cheap compared to what a new one costs. Also if you need special tools like a puller, automotive parts stores have loaner tool programs that are usually free. Some automotive parts stores also carry outboard motor parts.

Thanks for all the help and ill probly look at ordering that manual tomorrow, ive been needing one. Now since i already have it opened up, i heard i should spray some electrical contact cleaner on it, jus to keep my point as clean as possible, is this true?

Yes electrical contact cleaner on the points is good. Old timers used the cardboard from a book of matches to run between the points to clean them. Just keep all oil away from the points, the oil on your skin can even contaminate the points.
If the points are not pitted, they should just need cleaned, and the gap checked.
