Ok...... I got my starter working. I busted my alum. prop Friday evening, bought a used S/S prop Saturday. I took the boat for a ride, and after about 10 minutes of riding at 46 mph the motor acted like it ran out of fuel, but I had pleanty. When I tried to crank it up again the battery seemed too weak to crank. 
If my stator isn't working properly could this happen or does it sound like a short in the wiring or water pump problems? I am concerned about overheating because the engine doesn't have the indicator hole at the top and I cannot find any type of temp sensor/indicator.
