Hello,

Just bought a new boat (to me and my little buddies) and would like to restore and paint it. First I am wondering if anyone can provide me some links for information on beachcraft boats. Below are some photos of the boat. The paint on the hull looks very good other than a hew chips and scratches. The deck paint is very rough and cracked and there are a few small areas of crazing and some cracks around the transom. It appears that the original paint was the old style sparkle that can be seen at some of the chips.

I'm wondering the best way to refinish the whole boat taking into account the cracking paint on the deck, the limited crazing and the cracks around the transom. Do I have to sand out all of the cracks? Re gel coat or use epoxy paint? Photos of the boat and the issues discussed above follow.

Now for the issues:

Thanks for advice!

Hello Sean..sorry for the late reply..

Refinishing is the least of your worries IMHO..

You should get that Transom checked out by a quialified glass guy period.

Cute Kids m8.. dont risk it !!

That 115 merc better have a Solid mount before you even think about pushing that throt down..

You have to inspect the transom .. Im thinking its rotted .. but you can check it first off by pullin thos trailer eyes out..and inspecting the wood.

Sure some others will chime in as well..

Safty first .. fun is a byproduct of having a boat :)

YD.
