Running a 1973 20 hp Johnson. Got this from a friend, working on it for him. Took the hood off and noticed one of the screws on the exhaust cover is broken off. This has a new head gasket, and cylinder port gaskets. Running it in the barrel, and I'm noticing that there is some drops of water coming out of where that broken bolt is. My question is, is water even supposed to be reaching the exhaust cover? (the big cover on the side of the block). I'm planning on taking it off and putting new gaskets under it, however I need to know if I have another problem here that needs to be looked at, or is water supposed to be there and I just need to replace that broken bolt.
