I have a 19 7385 hp Evinrude outboard. after replacing the water pump assembly and changing low gear unit oil, I went to crank it and it turned over once and didn’t crank. The starter is good and the battery is good and all connections around motor look good, was hoping somebody out there to have a brother out

How did this motor run for you last season ?------Can you turn flywheel by hand a full 2 revolutions ?

Back off the throttle and see if it cranks over.-----Sorry I can not see your motor or control box.-----There is also a start in neutral switch in the control.-----Perhaps adjust the switch ( white wire ) on your motor linkages.----Or that simple switch can be cleaned.

If it's a cranking problem it's most likely either the key switch, starter or the solenoid.
If you know how to jump a solenoid try that. If that works replace the solenoid.

A few questions. Do you have a omc control box, if so send pictures. Also, how do you know the starter is good? One last thing, did you try to jump the solenoid or use the key?

The factory solenoids rarely fail !!!----Find the safety switch on the motor.----Just 1 white wire goes to it.--Prevents starting if throttle is open too far.-----Clean that switch internally.----And I can't believe you would want to use a non original solenoid.----Check neutral start switch in control box too.
