Sorry for the re-post, but need someone to reply quickly...

Im about to purchase a 1973 Fabuglas 14' walk through w/ the 73 Evin Triumph 65hp. If the motor is in the tilt pos and locked, will the water have a tendency to come out the bottom of the L/U instead of the exhaust relief holes? we didnt have a tank to run it in, but used the flush cups for water, we only ran it for about 20-30 seconds, is this enough time for the exhaust tower to fill and start spueing water from exhaust relief?

Also, why am i not seeing a water pump repair kit for this. only a impellar......
Thanks, Pete

Re: 1973 Evin Triumph 65hp H2O pump question

It wasn't built to run in the full tilt position, so don't expect it to act normal that way.
Full water pump kits are available from Evinrude/Johnson dealers. I suggest you look at your pump first to see what you actually need. If you have the plastic pump with stainless liners, there is no need to replace the whole thing. However if you still have the old aluminum pump, get it the heck out of there and update it. The pump kit will be the updated one.
