Greetings all,

I have a 6hp Fisherman 6302s with a plastic prop that is in poor shape - the leading edges are rather flat - I would like to get an aluminum replacement.

The motor is on a 12 foot aluminum boat and may be used on a 17 foot sailboat.

My question is, does anyone have any recommendations on the standard 2 blade (new or used), a three blade aftermarket or something else?. Also, plastic vs aluminum?

Part numbers and/or sources would be appreciated as well.

Have a great day!

Thanks,

Wayne

Motor came with a 8 X 7 1/4. 2 blade. Should work fine on the 12 ft. maybe ok on the 17 sailboat for maneuvering.
but not for cruising. Something like a Tinytach would help tell if the prop is right.
On the 12 footer you might need a tiller extension to get you in the middle seat. With that setup it should plane easily
and run 12 to 14 mph.lightly loaded.

Thanks for this prop info SteelSpike.

Do you think it's worth getting an aluminum prop? And/or a three blade prop?

BTW, just ordered a TinyTach clone. Thanks for the advice.
