Hello,

This might seem like a dumb question but does anyone know how to tell what petrol my engine runs on? Originally I'd imagine it would have run on leaded fuel but I got it running with unleaded, is it possible to convert them to unleaded and how can I tell if this has been done? Also, what are the consequences of running a leaded engine on unleaded and vice versa? I was thinking I might use unleaded with a lead substitute but will that ruin it if it's been converted to unleaded?

Cheers

no need for leaded fuel, they are happier with out it. the US version is 87 Octane with TC-W3 outboard oil, don't know what that converts to in the UK.

Hello TD,

Really, well unleaded is 97 octane over here so that'll be more than adequate?
